Chairman Greg Bartz

Greg has been involved with the Republican Party since he participated in his first precinct caucus while still in high school and was elected as a delegate to the Brown County Convention. He has been on the county board since 2001 and has served on many county, congressional district, and state party committees over the years, including the state and congressional district central committees. Greg was elected Brown County Deputy Chair in 2011 and to the Chair position in 2014.

Greg graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and practiced veterinary medicine in Carver County after college. He subsequently returned to his hometown area -rural Sleepy Eye, where he continues to farm today.

Deputy Chairman: Josh Anderson

Josh is serving his second term on the board, his first as the Deputy Chairman. Born in New Ulm, Josh was raised in Springfield and attended Springfield High School. Upon graduation, he attended Southwest Minnesota State University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business while serving as the University Student Body President. Josh has worked on campaigns for Chris Swedzinski, Gary Dahms, Paul Torkelson, Tony Jurgens and Marty Seifert's campaign for Governor in 2014. With this, he has managed Jason Rarick's campaign in Pine City, Minnesota. Anderson was elected to serve one term on the State Republican Party's Executive Committee in 2017. He lives in Springfield and is employed in the pork industry as a logistics specialist.

Finance Chairman Scott Waldner

Scott was raised on a farm south of Hector, MN.  After graduation from Hector High School, he attended the University of Minnesota and received a BS degree in Animal Science.  For the past 31 years he has been a poultry production specialist for Land O Lakes, Inc.  

Scott has been on the Brown County Republican Board of Directors since 2006, and has been the Finance Chair for most of that time.  He has been very active with events such as Brown County Fair booth, Farmfest, Funraisers, and attending the 1st Congressional District and State conventions.  He was chosen Brown County Republican of the Year in 2016.

Scott’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, and many outdoor activities.  He has been an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 25 in New Ulm since 1994.
